In Québec, Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs Are Recyclable, Too!
Environmental concerns have become a priority for all Canadians. The fight against global warming as well as the implementation of the Kyoto Protocol are forcing us to rethink the ways in which we generate and consume energy. In recent years, new ways to conserve energy have become available to consumers. One way is the use of compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs) instead of traditional incandescent lightbulbs. With the Canadian government having passed a law to gradually eliminate inefficient lightbulbs starting in 2012, as well as increasing media campaigns promot ing the use of compact fluorescents in home lighting, initiatives like RecycFluo, which enable consumers to recycle CFLs, are becoming increasingly important.
