What Happens to Discarded CFLs?
 Compact fluorescent lightbulbs brought to municipal RecycFluo collection points are taken to an ecocentre, where they are collected by Peintures Récupérées duQuébec. They are then sent to a certified partner for recycling. As much as 98% of CFL contents can be recycled. The remaining 2% are not contaminated with mercury. |
